A Share Savings Account qualifies you as a MVFCU voting member and entitles you to all other credit union services. This account is a dividend-earning savings account that you may access as needed. In addition to a share savings account, MVFCU offers the following accounts:
Requires a $25 minimum deposit to open, a $25 minimum balance to earn dividends, and receives quarterly statements.
Requires a $50 minimum balance, $5,000 maximum balance. Funds automatically transfer to Share Savings or Share Draft account on October 31. Christmas Club accounts renew annually. Starting November 1, any automatic deposits previously scheduled will continue. $25 early withdrawal fee if funds are withdrawn prior to October 31.
Requires a $25 minimum balance to open and a $2,000 balance is required to earn dividends. There is no monthly maintenance fee. A VISA CheckCard is available at no cost, and overdraft protection can be accessed from the Share Savings, Money Market or Line of Credit.
Requires a $2,000 minimum balance to open and a $2,000 minimum balance to earn dividends. Dividends are computed daily and paid monthly. Money Market accounts pay higher dividends, and they are considered low-risk, high-security investments.
Requires a $400 minimum balance to open. There is a six-month to five-year maturity period. Dividends are compounded and paid quarterly at a locked-in rate. Statements are received quarterly.
Traditional, Coverdell, and Roth IRA Shares and Certificates
These types of accounts are designed for accumulating retirement or educational funds by permitting an individual to set aside up to $5,000 per year ($6,000 if over age 50).

All MVFCU accounts are NCUA insured up to $250,000. IRAs are individually NCUA insured up to $250,000. Interest and Dividend Rate Sheets, Brochures and Applications for specific services and products and Fee Schedules are available at any MVFCU office. MVFCU waives the fees of some services for senior citizens age 60 and over.
