SIGNING BONUS PROGRAM

The purpose of the Signing Bonus Program is to offer an additional benefit in recruiting external candidates for the hard-to-fill, front line positions due to the current labor shortage. This program is designed to help source top talent, build diversity, find candidates for difficult-to-fill positions and close the gap in our time to fill of positions.

To encourage external candidates to consider employment with MVFCU, any external candidate successfully hired into a frontline position within the Community Offices, Contact Center/Virtual Services, or Residential/Commercial as outlined in the below appendix will receive a bonus of $500, less applicable taxes and hired according to the following general provisions.

Bonus for Successful Hire

The bonus is paid in two installments as follows:

  • When the external hire has officially begun employment a $250 bonus will be paid to the hire in the pay period in which the new hire starts.
  • When the external hire has completed three (3) months of employment, a second bonus payment of $250 will be paid to the hire in the pay period in which the new hire meets the three (3) months.
  • No more than $500 will be paid for any single hire.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the $500 signing bonus the selected candidate must pass all necessary background checks performed by the Human Resources Department as well as complete all required onboarding paperwork prior to their start date.

Signing bonuses will only be paid out on the frontline positions identified in the appendix listed below. The selected candidate must remain in a frontline position identified in this appendix at the time of payouts in order to receive the full bonus amount. Should the selected candidate transfer to a position not listed within this appendix prior to meeting their three (3) months of employment they are no longer eligible for receiving the second bonus payment of $250.
