The start of summer has been great! Many of the covid-19 protocols are easing which has allowed us all to return to a state of normalcy.

The knowledge gained in the last few years under tighter early covid-19 protocols has created many changes to our world. During the tighter protocols, in-person meetings were prevented which increased our usage of Zoom, WebEx, and online services to new levels.

I would like to share some of the new features our teams recently implemented to enhance our member satisfaction and make it easier to explore, apply, and close a loan.

A new online consumer loan application has been added. This new application allows you quick and easy access to apply for a car, boat, and many other types of loans without leaving your home. For many members the new loan application will provide quick feedback on your loan request. Consumer loans can now also be closed via WebEx from anywhere with a Virtual Member Service Representative.

We have additionally added a new online mortgage loan application. The new online mortgage loan application allows you to start your mortgage loan request any time of the day from your smart phone, tablet or computer. Our mortgage team will promptly see your online mortgage loan and begin the process of helping with your mortgage request.

We’ve enhanced our online and virtual services to become more personal and feature rich to ensure you can manage your financial needs from any place and at any time from your computer or smart phone.

We always look forward to seeing you in our community offices, our virtual community office or online.

While you are out enjoying the beautiful Alaska and/or Hawaiian summer days, please take the time to utilize these and all other online services from our website or mobile app that are now being offered through Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union.

GET REAL FINANCIAL REALITY FAIRS ARE BACKFRF logo

A Get REAL Financial Reality Fair (FRF) is a fun, hands-on way for students and young adults to learn about managing personal finances.

At the Fair, students get a feel for real-life budgeting.
The student’s goal is to stay within budget; in other words, still have money left in their pockets after paying all their bills for the month.

If you’re interested in scheduling a Fair for your school or community group OR if you would like to be part of the FRF Volunteer team (no experience necessary), contact us at MVFCU at 907-745-9156 or email: marketing.dept@mvfcu.coop
